Dissociation of Implant following Hemi Replacement Arthroplasty in an Osteoporotic Male Patient: A Case Report

Hip fracture is a major health concern in elderly people. Thc standard line of management hip arthroplasty classified whether it intracapsular or extracapsular. Hemi the preferred surgery geriatric population as less mobility and large diameter femur head reduces chances dislocation. There are 4 surgical techniques for -arthroplasty: anterior (Smith-Peterson), anterolateral (Watson. lones), lateral (Hardinge Liverpool) posterior (moore). Common complications replacement include infection, fracture, dislocation, venous thrombosis, nerve palsy, chronic pain implant failure. ln literature: there very few reported cases Dissociation Implant hemi arthroplasty. We hereby present case report on dissociation prosthesis which was timely recognised treated adequately. The cemented bipolar used can also lead to components thereby need open reduction. Identification difference between dislocation prosthetic componcnts vital favourable patient prognosis.
